Reinforced by a scary show on the tv, a bedroom story for misbehaving children or just the sight of a stranger who- for all you know is harmless. For it is not what is actually there that matters, rather what else COULD be.Īlso, when is it a nightmare and when is it reality? I still have vague recollections of encounters where I can’t tell apart the two. Being stripped of one’s sensory familiarity leaves you helpless, when really, they may simply be as you remember them or last saw.
